On September 9, 2016, the Beijing Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau issued charitable organization certificates to the first 21 identified charitable organizations, eight of which received certificates for public fundraising. The director of the bureau Wanjun Li issued certificates to the 21 organizations one by one, while the deputy director Yanzhi Xie read out the list of them. Among the 21 organizations, G&S was authenticated as one of the first batch of charitable organizations in Beijing.
