On October 22, 2014, on behalf of G&S, Ms. Xiaoqiang Lu the chairperson (Hong Kong) was invited to attend the Points of Light annual meeting held at the Chinese Embassay in Washington, DC, USA. G&S, as an outstanding volunteer service representative, attracted the attention of the guests, and received a certificate of appreciation issued by the Points of Light Foundation in the event. G&S's commonweal practice was used as an example of increasing Chinese volunteers by Mr. Tiankai Cui, a China’s ambassador to the U.S, who said, in a conversation with Ms. Lu, that he had known G&S for so long and hoped to have an opportunity to serve as a volunteer.
