The opening and award ceremony of the 2012 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival, China (GZDOC) was grandly opened at Guangzhou Friendship Theatre on December 3, 2012. The documentary The Teachers made by G&S, standing out from the 1488 films from 5 countries, won the Best Producer of the Golden Kapok Award. The film also became one of the six films that will be shown on cinemas for free at the festival. Mr. Dian Kang the G&S founder, Ms. Ying Fan the G&S secretary general and Mr. Weifeng Gao the film director attended the ceremony at that day.
